JobOx A1 accessories and modifications

Self-test and Next-Plate files

Here you can download the latest version for the Self-Test and Next-Plate files bundle as a zip archive.

You may need these files if later versions of the Slicer stop working with the earlier versions of the files included in your download package. Please note that you can still download the latest version of the 'JobOx A1 package' using the link you received after purchase.

Third party plates hooks (beta)

There are few custom hooks for third party plates available. For example, there is a hook for the BIQU CryoGrip Pro Glacier and Frostbite* (read note below!) plate.

There is also 'variable' hook (type V) for plates where the hole position differs from that of the original BambuLab plates. With the variable hook, the position of the screw hole can be adjusted directly in the slicer by selecting it and moving it with the moving tool. Use the yellow millimetre scale for orientation.

*Please note: in order to use the BIQU  Frostbite plates, you will need to modify your magazine before print. This can be done directly in the slicer by selecting a modifier part (see picture below) and change its type to negative body (right click on yellow part -> change type -> Negative Part -> OK). Yellow part turns black and will add a need modification while slicing. At least one side of the Magazine needs to be modified in order to fit the Frostbite plates.

Please note that this modifier part was added in version 38. If your JobOx A1 print file does not contain this modifier part (yellow part on picture above), please download a recent version of the file using the original download link sent to you via email after purchase.

Jig for drilling holes

Drilling holes is not necessary. Regular hook of type B can be attached to a plate even without holes. However attaching the hook version A to a plate with one or two holes is definitely the most secure option and should be considered, especially when you run a 3D printing business and plan to use the automation functionality daily.

After assembling the jig, you can securely clamp a plate inside and drill it using a 3.5–4 mm hardened steel drill bit.

Jig alternative

Alternatively, there is a small template that can be used to mark the holes, which can then be drilled using a stationary drill with a clamping fixture.
Please note: when using the jig, the template is unnecessary.

When holes are drilled, attach hook variant A using M3 10mm screws.

It's usually not necessary, but an additional foot can be used when a large number of plates are loaded into the magazine.

Rail system

The system works fine without rails. Plates will be ejected in front of the printer and pushed away by heat bed. You can also use collector bin where the plates can fall into.
Adding rails is another possibility, especially when you print fragile parts and have enough space available.

Rails are modular and extendable, with each rail pair measuring 24 cm.
Please note that the rails are still in the beta stage and may not function perfectly.

Stabilizer for AMS top mount

AMS top mount can be used in combination with Jobox A1. However the original Bambu-Lab Z-Stiffener don't. To replace these we have designed an extension for the magazine. It can be screwed to the back of the magazine using dedicated slots at the back (JobOx A1 version 34 and later).

The design of the flex-feet is inspired by the Original BambuLab Z-Stiffener for AMS.  If you have an flex-ring from the original AMS Z-Stiffener, you can reuse it and don't need to print the rings included here. Back-feet can be attached with two pairs of M3x10mm screws (3. screw is optional). The z-Axis stiffener is simply inserted into the corresponding slots of the magazine clip. Optionally an additional screw can be used here to adjust the tolerance by pushing against the z-Axis profile, but usually it's not needed.
